Designed by divers for divers: The M.S.V. Amira was brought to completion in 2010 and constructed according to traditional Phinisi schooner patterns with teak and ironwood. Several carefully designed decks provide a floating home amidst the most spectacular dive sites of Indonesia. The German-Swiss operators lay great emphasis on ecological standards, sustainability, and reverence for nature. Cruise director Bruno Hopff has been living and working as a diving instructor in Indonesia since 2004. Being the co-proprietor of the Amira he looks after the wellbeing of his guests and crew himself, caters for the needs of his passengers, and creates a pleasant atmosphere on board.
Eight twin cabins and two single cabins provide space for 18 divers. All cabins can be arranged with either two single beds or one double bed. Five twin cabins (14 square meters) and two single cabins (8 and 10 square meters) are located on the lower deck. Three slightly smaller twin cabins (13 square meters) are on the upper deck. All cabins are equipped with air conditioning and shower/toilet and designed with exquisite noble wood.
The spacious sun deck (120 square meters) allows for leisure hours and provides an observation point for watching the horizon. The sheltered lounge on the main deck invites the guests to stay and relax between dives. Here passengers also find the dining area and the TV area. Photographers enjoy their own workspace with computer (including DVD/CD burner). A camera room on the lower deck provides charging stations for equipment and a 9 meter workbench with additional storage space.
